Book Review - The Death List

It's a cliche to say that a book is unputdownable but it is true of Paul Johnston's The Death List. I put aside rather a lot to sit and read the story of the failed crime novelist Matt Wells.


Matt has been dumped by his agent, his publisher and his high-flying City wife - at least his journalist girlfriend stands by him - when he receives an email out of the blue from someone who seems to know an awful lot about him.


The emailer - The White Devil - is a serial killer who asks Matt to write the story of his murders and then embroils him in a series of brutal murders that more than resemble the fictional crimes in Matt's books.


It's chilling and a great read.
