Sack incompetent court manager

Just over a month ago I called for people to take responsibility for their actions or face the sack.

Today we read the story of the man who returned home to find his house had been - wrongly - possessed by bailiffs. They had also emptied his fridge and freezer, drained his radiators and turned off his gas, electricity and water.

A spokesman: "We have been made aware that, as a result of an administrative error by Huntingdon County Court, bailiffs were instructed to take possession of an incorrect property.

"We understand that the Court Manager has now apologised to the tenants involved and we have requested a full investigation by the court into the circumstances which led to this action being taken."

When the investigations is complete, sack the court manager who is obviously incompetent.

One rule for (violent) celebrities...

Young thug Jack Tweed was today sentenced to 12 weeks in prison for beating up a taxi driver.

Chairman of the magistrates Margaret Webb passed the lighter sentence (less than he got for his first assault) and said, "We have borne in mind the recent change in your personal circumstances and have reflected this in the length of the sentence, which would otherwise have been 18 weeks."

Wow, nine weeks for beating someone up.

His personal circumstances are irrelevant. He has no responsibility for his stepchildren; this is not the first time that he has been violent (and will surely not be the last) and he was not exactly the best boyfriend to his now late wife, chatting up girls on Facebook and having sex with at least one in a club lavatory.

Classy man. Two years would have been a fair sentence and that should mean two years.
