So, last week Rachel was rightly booted off The X Factor but this week they got rid of the terrific Ruth Lorenzo and kept the Gremlin-lookalike Eggnog.
And was there a worse performance than Britney Spears? I could not understand a word she sang and yet she got a standing ovation!! Unbelievable. Self-obsessed to the point of nausea, she launched into how much she loves London (yeah, that's why you only arrived on the morning of the show!) and when Dermot O'Leary asked if she wished good luck to the contestants, she said with complete lack of feeling, "Good luck and keep at it." Priceless...
UPDATE: Just watched a repeat of Britney Spears's performance and still cannot understand a word she "sang". The Mail on Sunday reports, "Miss Spears, 26, was said to have feared that trying to sing and dance at the same time would prove too much for her." UNBELIEVABLE!!
